 Outcomes

  • decreased initiation of alcohol use
  • less association with drug-using peers
  • increased attitudes against substance use

The following outcomes were not statistically significant:

  • no difference on percentage reporting drug or substance use, attitudes about police, self-esteem, social integration, attachment to school, and rebellious behavior scores

Other studies have reported non-significant differences (Clayton, Cattarello, & Walden, 1991;Ringwalt, Ennett, & Holt, 1991)
